September 03 Fort Myers Beach North EndEven though the island of Fort Myers Beach is only 7 miles long,the city limits go physically beyond Estero island. It is also composed of its small sister, San Carlos Island, along the north bridge or Matanza pass and in the South end of the island it carries on a few miles towards Bonita Springs. Simply put Fort Myers Beach goes beyond both north and south bridge. On the major island of Estero island of Fort Myers Beach, there are many different areas with its own style and distinct qualities. Physically its divided into three major areas. North end, middle island and south end. North End is located just north of Town Square, ergo the name. It is a strongly sought after location due to the fact that the at the very end of the beach there is a preserve,and, before that, a famous resort called The Pink Shell smack on the gulf. Besides a few more condos and single homes on the gulf side, Bay homes in Fort Myers Beach are also located along a few streets and circles along the East side on the North End of the Island. The views of the bay are wide and spectacular. Other streets have gulf access canals. One of these areas is along San Carlos Circle shown on the video.

A few major factors will make for a better deal In Fort Myers Beach. A good elevation, a strong roof, no mold please, a sound structure, electrical and plumbing and comparables which show that it is a good deal. Close to the beach is of course a plus, but you don’t want to be smack next to Estero Blvd, unless you miss the sound of the city. Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931-2604 - County: Lee - Realtor's note: At first when I saw this home I thought"what is this?" Its not particularly pretty, its small with only 557 square feet and a garage of 160 square feet, and the lot is only 40' x 80' , which, even though not unusual on the island, is a bit stingy.The I looked more carefully and saw that a deck was added in 2002, and one may have our own business on the property. It is located in the business district of Fort Myers Beach. The pilings are ridiculously small in height but I will give it a pass, as at least it not built smack on ground level.Its all about the price and as of today its one of the lowest priced single homes on the island and this home makes a lot of sense just because you can rent it very easily as is or upgrade it, raise the pilings for example and make it larger.For the money its a good investment. Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931-3237 County: Lee - Agent's note: When I saw the picture I was turned off by the odd design.I drove by and it amazing how pictures usually make a home look better. Not in this case. The home is actually located on a very decent street , very close to the beach, maybe 3 mn walk, and the overall design is in fact quite pleasant.It has 1196 square feet, quite normal for the island, and has a one bedroom legal unit on the first floor.Now now, this is getting more and more interesting. They can get $800 for the top and $400 for the 1st floor. Great for investors or new homesteaders who want a bit of an income. The exposed beans in the living room are pretty cool.
