    Is Fairview Isles of Fort Myers Beach for you?

    Fairview Isles is neighborhood community located near the southern end of Fort Myers Beach. It is a real community within the island and when its Deed was drawn in 1958, it had certain clear rules and restrictions.

    No homes for example should be less then 1000 square feet and should have a solid concrete foundation of at least 9 feet above mean  low tide. Asbestos was and is not allowed…the list goes on and on but what stands out is a will from this community not to have any eye sores, including signs,except for professional reasons, temporary structures cannot be used as a temporary or permanent structure….

    and no”noxious or loud activity of any kind “is allowed in this community of roughly 180 homes.Most homes are on canals with gulf access through the back bay of Fort Myers Beach or Estero Bay.

Don’t be fooled by the idyllic and romantic physical aspect of the island. It is very modern but it is above all a “green” advocate. Not to mention great shelling, fishing, or using the over 4 miles and a half of trails along 1800 preserved acres.

    The residents of this island will do anything possible to preserve its natural habitat and will not stand for anything that disturbs it. Objectively, there have been some draw back to so much attention. ( continuing below the picture of the Old Post Office)
